Bowens strengthens eastern serviceability in key growth corridor
Bowens Warragul
On Wednesday, November 30th, Bowens will be celebrating its brand new Warragul store with local builders invited to come and join in the festivities.
The Warragul store has become the 17th store in Bowens state-wide network as the fourth-generation, family-owned Australian business remains Australia’s leading timber and building materials supplier, with 2022 representing a key year for its network growth across Victoria.
Since its opening in September, the Warragul store has worked largely with small to medium-sized builders and trades attracting over 500 new customers. The Warragul site has not only better supported local builders, but has also relieved demand on the neighbouring Pakenham store, resulting in quicker delivery and supply for local businesses, saving them time and money.
“The Warragul site has not only better supported local builders, but has also relieved demand on the neighbouring Pakenham store, resulting in quicker delivery and supply for local businesses, saving them time and money.”
Bowens predicts over the next 12 months, the new store will make approximately 12,000+ deliveries to local builders and homes throughout the region. The store has already established over 30 jobs to local members of the community.
Bowens Director and Chief Investment Officer, Andy Bowen, said:
“We are excited to officially celebrate the opening of the Warragul store with the local community. A part of our continued store operations strategy is listening to our customers; their feedback and experiences are part of the secret to our success and we are looking forward to connecting with them directly and further supporting the Warragul community.”
Bowens Warragul store manager and long-term employee, Dean Armstrong, said:
“As a Warragul local myself, I’ve been thrilled by the reception Bowens has received in this area. We had already been servicing so many local trades from Pakenham so it’s been great to be able to strengthen our local servicing and continue to prioritise delivering the best quality building materials on time and in full for our builders.”
“In coming months we look forward to working with the Warragul locals more and understanding how Bowens can further support the community outside of building materials. As a family-run business, we are passionate about giving back to the communities that support us and we can’t wait to give back to the local area.”

The Bowens Warragul store has integrated existing and new employees, with multiple team members already living in the Warragul area and having moved across from existing stores. Bowens continues to invest in its Victorian store network, helping all Australians build better.
