  • What is your delivery policy?

    For parcel deliveries outside of Victoria, we use Sendle, our third-party courier. You will be notified by email and a tracking link will be provided as soon as your parcel is picked up from the store by our courier. Delivery times will vary depending on the destination of the parcel. In most cases, the parcel will be delivered within 10-14 days from pick up. Please refer to link provided when the order is placed for accurate and up to date tracking/location.

    Note: Special order items take a minimum of 10 working days to source prior to shipping. A preferred date / time of delivery is not available for parcel deliveries. This option is only available to customers within Victoria when selecting Bowens ute, truck or crane truck delivery method.

  • How much does delivery cost?

    Delivery costs are calculated at the time of checkout. They vary based on the type of service or size of the vehicle required to deliver the product. Not all products will be eligible for parcel or Ute delivery.

    You can also always choose free click+collect if you prefer to simply drive in and pick up your order from your local Bowens Store.

  • Where does Bowens deliver to?

    Bowens delivers nationally for parcel sized products. Big and bulky goods such as timber are delivered within Victoria only using own utes, trucks and crane trucks. 

    In cases where we are unable to deliver your choice of goods, the checkout will request you to choose click + collect instead of delivery. 

  • Do I have to be a trade customer to purchase and receive deliveries?

    No. Our trade account customers get priority delivery, dedicated account managers, trade discounts and a host of other benefits. However, you are welcome to purchase from our online catalogue without needing a trade account. We do hope that once you deal with our excellent customer service and unmatched delivery promise that you take advantage of our trade offer.

  • Why can't I select a Ute delivery?

    Our check-out automatically selects the cheapest available delivery method based on the type of product and quantity which you wish to purchase. We are constantly improving our processes to ensure that we always get you a quick, safe delivery to your site in the most cost-effective manner possible.

  • Are you able to send a crane for delivery?

    We understand that at times you may wish to choose a crane for delivery for ease of unloading. You may tick the ‘crane option’ during the checkout process for such instances. We will be in contact thereafter to ensure you get the delivery on time and on a crane as well as to ensure that there is safe access for a crane.

  • How long will my delivery take? When will my order be ready?

    For Bowens ute, truck and crane truck deliveries within Victoria products that are ranged at our stores, should expect delivery within 2 business days. For special order items, expect delivery within 5-10 working days. We will provide delivery time and cost estimates during the checkout process. You may choose your preferred date and time for delivery at the time of checkout and we will try our best to meet those expectations. If there are any changes to this delivery schedule, for any reason, we will communicate these to you beforehand.

    For all deliveries outside Victoria, we are dependent on using third-party couriers and parcel delivery services from Sendle. You will be notified by email and a tracking link as soon as your parcel is en-route. Please note that for special order items, it may take us an additional 10 working days to source the product prior to shipping. For all parcel deliveries, you will not be able to select a preferred date / time of delivery. That option is only available to customers within Victoria when selecting Bowens ute, truck or crane truck delivery methods.

  • What if the product I want isn’t available online?

    Our online range gives customers access to products that were previously only available to order in-store. For some products, such as special buy-in products or products with specific delivery requirements that need to be confirmed, please contact your nearest Bowens Store.

  • Can I cancel or make changes to my order details or delivery address?

    Yes, you can cancel/make changes to your order in most cases. This process varies according to your order type and which stage the order is in. If you need to change or cancel your order in any manner, please contact the store handling your delivery as per the delivery confirmation e-mail that you received immediately upon placing an order. Please contact us for assistance in any other case.

  • Do I have to be home or on-site to receive my delivery?

    No, you do not need to be home or onsite for deliveries. You will receive an order email confirmation immediately upon placing the order with your order details. Next, we will issue an SMS when the order is on its way and proof of delivery image once delivered (Victoria only). For all parcel deliveries, an email with a tracking link will be automatically sent out as soon as the product is despatched giving  you complete transparency on where your goods are at any point in time. Please mention any special requests during checkout in the notes section. Please feel free to contact the store handling your delivery (details as per the order confirmation email) in case of further assistance.

  • Who will deliver my order?

    In Victoria, all Bowens stores offer small Ute deliveries up to large Crane Truck deliveries to help you get big and bulky items onsite quickly.

    We hire the best drivers that know how to handle heavy loads and manage deliveries, so you receive your building supplies to site on time and in full.

    • Our drivers will call you as they are about to leave the branch, so you can be prepared.
    • When possible, items can be placed wherever you need them, whether that’s on a first floor or hand-unloaded onsite.
    • Drivers will take photos to prove delivery has been made on time and in full and collect a signature onsite where possible.
    • Not onsite? Our drivers will leave a delivery docket with the delivered goods.

    For all parcel deliveries we rely on our third party courier and parcel post partners such as Sendle to get the goods to you.

  • My order hasn’t arrived or I have received an incorrect/incomplete order, what do I do now?

    If your order hasn’t arrived, please contact the Bowens Store mentioned in your order confirmation email. Please contact us to escalate for assistance and please reference your order confirmation number.

  • I’m having trouble ordering online, can you help me?

    If you’re having trouble buying products online, please contact us for assistance.

  • Split orders and deliveries

    In the event that you have ordered multiple items, it may be necessary to source and supply the items from various locations. In the event this occurs, Bowens will inform you and endeavour to make alternative arrangements before the order is released to avoid additional shipping costs being charged. If you wish to split an order to receive the in-stock goods immediately then please contact the Bowens Store mentioned in your order confirmation email after placing your order.

  • Can I track my online order?

    Yes. For deliveries within Victoria where you have selected a ute, truck or crane truck, you can track your delivery once you have received your transit confirmation via SMS. You will receive text alerts to your phone when your driver is on its way.

    Once on the move, you can track the delivery in real time and receive a proof of delivery text message when the delivery is made, a list of your order and images of the delivery.

    For parcel deliveries via a third-party, you will receive an automated email with a tracking link as soon as your goods are ready to be shipped.

    We will contact you directly in all such cases and work with you to ensure your goods are delivered as soon as possible.

  • How do Uber deliveries work?

    We offer 90-minute or less deliveries with Uber when you order online. Alternatively, you can explore our delivery estimator to verify if Uber delivery is an option for your product and location.

    If your order is over $500 you will need to be present at the time of delivery and provide the driver with a pin code (sent to you via SMS text by Uber) to receive the products.

  • How much does Uber delivery cost?

    Uber delivery is a $10 flat fee.

  • How do I know if my products can be delivered by Uber?

    Enter your full address in the delivery estimate search bar on the product page. This will display the option for Uber delivery if it is available for your selected products.

  • Can I live track my Uber order?

    Yes! Once your order has been packed by the store and is ready for Uber to pick up, you will receive an SMS text by Uber. This will include a link so you can access the live tracking of your order.

  • Can I provide delivery instructions for Uber delivery?

    Yes! Please use the delivery instructions box available at checkout to input your instructions.

  • What if I’m not there to receive my Uber delivery?

    Depending on your order total you may need to be present to receive your products. If you miss your Uber delivery and the package cannot be left at the address, the products will be sent back to the store, and you will be charged for the return delivery fee.

    If there is an issue with your delivery or you still have not received your order after the quoted time from Uber, please get in touch via live chat or contact the store where your Uber delivery was placed.

  • Can I order products via Uber Delivery after hours?

    If you order your product after hours via Uber delivery, we will fulfil your order when our stores open for trading. You can check our store opening hours online.
