Case Study: Thermotek x Click-In Systems Installation
Anglesea Project
Evans Building Group recently worked with Bowens to install high-performance Thermotek windows and doors on a new Anglesea project. This build marked the first installation of Thermotek windows using the innovative Click-In system, a mounting system designed to simplify installation while ensuring energy efficiency and airtightness.
“The click bricks were installed at the Thermotek factory. This means they come with pre-fitted bricks, making it very easy to install,” said Dan Evans, director at Evans Building Group.
The Challenge
Like many high-performance builds, this project required a window system that would provide airtightness. Traditional frame installation methods often involve a high risk of thermal bridging or condensation damage if not done correctly, so Bowens suggested Thermotek windows and doors as a solution.

Thermotek x Click-In System
Thermotek was chosen for their airtight window and door systems, and Click-In for their ease of installation. Each window arrived from the factory with pre-fitted click bricks, removing much of the on-site preparation.
The installation process includes:
- Click Grip and Base Seal: Installed 200mm up from the base to prevent condensation from reaching the frame and protect against moisture damage
- Frame Fixing: Click screws are pre-set into the frame for alignment and easy insertion on-site
- Click Bricks: Factory-installed for perfect fit and accuracy
- Click Seal: An expanding thermal and airtight barrier that creates a tight seal around the frame
- Window Insertion: The window simply “clicks” into place, tightened from each side for a secure fit.
On-Site Experience
According to Dan, this was the team’s first hands-on installation using the Thermotek and Click-In system, and the process exceeded expectations.
“The screws were preset, with a couple of millimetres open for ease of clicking the window in. Once in position, we gave it a couple of turns, tightened it up, and that was it. From my point of view, it’s a no-brainer,” said Dan.
The result? A solid, airtight installation in a fraction of the time of traditional methods.

The Results
- Faster installation: Reduced setup time due to factory-prepared components
- Improved airtightness: Expansion seal ensures no gaps, reducing air leakage
- Moisture protection: Base sealing method prevents condensation damage
- Simplified process: “Click-in” design reduces the margin for error.
The Anglesea project demonstrated how innovation in window system design can transform installation efficiency and building performance. For Dan and Evans Building Group, the Thermotek and Click-In system proved to be a practical and reliable solution for high-performance coastal builds.
“As you can see, it’s a solid product. It’s not going anywhere,” added Dan.
